In 1966 the 7th Marquess of Anglesey launched the series with the following quotation:
“A vital object of the series is the provision of source material for those who wish to conduct further research into specialist subjects. A subsidiary but important part of the design is to satisfy the known, and growing, requirements of visitors to the Island: to supply them with authoritative reading matter from which to broaden their understanding of what they see around them, and how it came to be as it is”
A number of the publications are now out of print and some have been re-printed or have been published in revised editions. The list below records the complete series with links to further information for those which are still in print.
