An exhibition “Hanes yr Hynafiaethwyr \/ Antiquarian Anglesey<\/strong><\/em>” celebrating 100 years of the Anglesey Antiquarian Society and Field Club was displayed in the History Gallery at Oriel Ynys M\u00f4n over the period 16 July – 24 December 2011 (Extended to 21 January 2012).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition told the story, through photos, artefacts and text, of the development of understanding Anglesey’s history and pre-history\/archaeology. The Society’s contribution towards this understanding was highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Society gratefully acknowledges sponsorship and support by Magnox UK, Menter M\u00f4n and Oriel Ynys M\u00f4n towards the cost of mounting the exhibition and associated literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The display panels and exhibition booklet were produced for the Society by Robert Williams. of MAGMA Designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weekend Events<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Events were organised at two of Anglesey’s outstanding historic houses, Plas Newydd and Plas Coch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday 5th November a Day Conference was held in the Music Room at Plas Newydd<\/p>\n\n\n\n
