The Society&#8217;s contribution towards this understanding was highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>The Society gratefully acknowledges sponsorship and support by Magnox UK, Menter M\u00f4n and Oriel Ynys M\u00f4n towards the cost of mounting the exhibition and associated literature.<\/p>\n<p>The display panels and exhibition booklet were produced for the Society by Robert Williams. of MAGMA Designs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Weekend Events<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Events were organised at two of Anglesey&#8217;s outstanding historic houses, Plas Newydd and Plas Coch.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday 5th November a Day Conference was held in the Music Room at Plas Newydd<\/p>\n<p>The speakers were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>David Longley &#8211; The Long Sixth Century: Maelgwyn to Cadwallon &#8211; Anglesey and its wider connections<\/li>\n<li>Professor Ralph Griffiths &#8211; Anglesey and the wider world 1300-1550. (Paper read by Ann Benwell)<\/li>\n<li>Dr David Jenkins- The rule of the Copper Kingdom.<\/li>\n<li>Peter Lord &#8211; Artisan painting from Wales to America 1720-1860: Edward Owen of Penrhos to Williams Roos of Amlwch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Sunday 6 November a Heritage Slow Food and History Lunch was held at Plas Coch, a unique 16th Century Elizabethan Mansion, courtesy of Plas Coch&#8217;s owners, with the support of Menter M\u00f4n, Bwtri and Slow Food Dros-y-Fenai.<\/p>\n<p>Newsletter<\/p>\n<div>Editions of the Newsletter produced in our Centenary year by the Editor, Dr. J.
