{"id":1546,"date":"2022-05-07T16:31:20","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T15:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hanesmon.org.uk\/aaswp\/?page_id=1546"},"modified":"2022-07-25T21:23:18","modified_gmt":"2022-07-25T20:23:18","slug":"excursions-2021","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hanesmon.org.uk\/aaswp\/excursions-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Excursions 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Excursions &#8211; 2022 (see also the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hanesmon.org.uk\/aaswp\/?page_id=21\">Newsletter<\/a>)<br>Booking is not essential but it is helpful to the organizer to know how many to expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saturday May 28<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; Rhosmeirch \/ Llangefni&nbsp;&nbsp; 1.30 \u2013 c. 5.30pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In anticipation of holding our postponed Day School on the History of Non-Conformity in Anglesey next&nbsp;spring, we will be touring historically important chapels near Llangefni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please assemble at <strong>Ebenezer<\/strong>, <strong>Rhosmeirch<\/strong> (SH 462 777) at 1.30pm.&nbsp; Take the B5111 past Oriel M\u00f4n, turn R to&nbsp;Rhosmeirch then first R and R again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1.30pm Ebenezer Congregationalist&nbsp; Chapel<\/strong> founded 1749.&nbsp;&nbsp; Mr Gwynfor Roberts will speak to us and there&nbsp;are several historic features to be seen, inside and out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2.30pm Cildwrn Baptist Chapel<\/strong>&nbsp; founded 1750&nbsp; (this is opposite the school on the B5109 at the top of&nbsp;Llangefni.&nbsp; Park in the school access).&nbsp; Rev Ieaun Elfryn Jones will speak to us here.&nbsp; It is now an Evangelical&nbsp;Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3.30pm<\/strong> <strong>Capel Moreia C.M Chapel<\/strong> (1905) Inside this grand chapel we will have an address by the Rev Ieuan&nbsp; Elfryn Jones &#8211; &#8220;A Memorial Chapel for John Elias.&#8221;&nbsp; Our second address &#8220;Canolfan Glanhwfa&#8221;- &#8216;a relevant centre&nbsp; for our community!&#8217; will be given by Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones, chairman of the ongoing project of re-organisation. <strong>4.45pm Penuel Baptist Chapel <\/strong>built 1897 as a memorial to Christmas Evans.&nbsp; It is now an undertaker\u2019s Chapel&nbsp;of Rest but we can visit inside.&nbsp; Rev Ieaun Elfryn Jones will speak to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Organiser: <\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;Donald Glyn Pritchard&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Contact 01248 470579 <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:donaldglyn42@hotmail.co.uk\">donaldglyn42@hotmail.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Saturday June 25<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;&nbsp; Bodafon Mountain&nbsp;&nbsp; 2.00 \u2013 c. 5.00pm&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please assemble in the <strong>carpark <\/strong>halfway up Bodafon Mountain (SH 470 852) near the chapel. However Mrs Jean Blundell will be in residence at Fort Belan on September 10th and she is happy to show us round the fort and the harbour.
