on Tuesday 02 March 2010 by rheolwr22 in Transactions The Author/Item index includes all articles indexed in the 1911-1985 Index as well as those published since and have not yet been indexed. It was not possible with the original printed Index to identify the article that the indexed subject term referred to without physically checking the Transactions themselves. If you make a note of the Item Ref(s) relating to the result(s) of a Subject search you can use the Item Ref search option to identify the author and title of the article that contained the subject term. The information retrieved will show - Author, Article Title, Transactions Year, Page(s), Item Ref and Item ID sorted by Item Ref. (If you want to report a correction please quote the Item ID). Enter an Item Reference in the box and click on the 'Search' button (or press 'Enter') (N.B. Entering the year by itself will retrieve all the articles indexed in a volume. You can use the wildcard % to search for part of an Item Ref e.g. Entering 193% will retrieve all articles published between 1930 and 1939.)
