Dinham Hall and Llangaffo Church
Wednesday July 19th 6.00pm Dinam Hall (courtesy of Richard Williams) and Llangaffo Church

Dinam Hall (SH452690 – LL60 6LR) is reached from the B4421 Pentre Berw – Newborough road, c. half a mile NE of the church.
Dinam was built in the late 16th century and remodelled in the 18th with some fine panelling surviving.
It was the home of the Rev Hugh Prichard who was a very notable excavator and recorder of archaeological sites in the late 19th century when agricultural development destroyed so much. His church at Llangaffo contains, in the church, the churchyard and its wall, a large collection of crosses and gravestones of the 7th – 10th centuries and must have been a major monastic site in the early Middle Ages.
